01Best overall
Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro
The best all-round combo for mixed-floor homes with thresholds and low furniture. Buy it for the most complete dock in this group, and accept that it nudges small objects.
Pick it ifLarger mixed-floor homes with door thresholds, low sofas and pets, where hot-water mop washing and heated drying keep the dock from smelling
Skip it ifCluttered floors with cables and small toys, or small apartments where a 19 in deep dock and a premium budget are hard to justify

03Best premium
Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete
The premium pick for pet owners who want the best documented test record and the longest maintenance intervals. Watch the water tank and keep it away from loose rugs.
Pick it ifPet households with hard floors, low furniture and raised thresholds that want the dock to handle dust, detergent and odor for months at a time
Skip it ifHomes with loose or fringed rugs, very large floor plans on one charge, or anyone who does not want to refill a water tank every couple of runs
What stands out
- Vacuum Wars (Aug 28, 2026): 89 percent carpet deep clean, 100 percent pet hair, 0 percent hair wrap, 22 of 24 obstacles avoided
- 3.13 in tall with the LiDAR retracted and rated for 45 mm single and 88 mm two-step thresholds; Vacuum Wars cleared a 51 mm step
- Dock holds a 3.2 L bag rated for 100 days and two detergent tanks, one for a pet-odor formula
Flaws to know
- Android Authority found the clean-water tank ran dry after roughly 600 sq ft and the magnetic pads popped off around rugs
- Navigation efficiency (0.64 sq m per minute) and coverage per charge (about 950 sq ft) are below Vacuum Wars' averages, and the onboard bin is only 235 mL
Why it made the list. The best-documented robot here: 89 percent carpet, 100 percent pet hair, 0 percent hair wrap and 22 of 24 obstacles at Vacuum Wars, in a 3.13 in body that cleared a 51 mm step. The dock's 3.2 L bag is rated for 100 days and a second detergent tank holds pet-odor solution; the trade-offs are a thirsty water tank and pads that can detach on loose rugs.

04Best for cluttered homes
eufy Omni S2
The pick for cluttered homes. It dodged every object in Vacuum Wars' course and cleans carpet well, but dried-stain mopping and threshold climbing trail the Roborock and Dreame.
Pick it ifFamily homes with toys, cables and pet bowls on the floor, hard floors with low-pile rugs, and owners who want a roller mop that stays wet with clean water
Skip it ifHomes with raised thresholds between rooms, heavy dried-on kitchen mess, or anyone who wants a live camera view from the robot
What stands out
- Perfect 24 of 24 in Vacuum Wars' obstacle course, the only such result among the robots in this comparison (Aug 28, 2026 review)
- 87 percent carpet deep clean and 0 percent hair wrap in the same lab, a large jump from the 61 percent of the earlier S1 generation
- 12-in-1 UniClean station: 140°F heated wash with electrolyzed water, 131°F hot-air drying, auto detergent, and bags rated for 68 days
Flaws to know
- Dried-stain mopping scored 82 against Vacuum Wars' 108 average, with water output of 0.35 g against a 1.07 g average
- Cleared its 32 mm test threshold only one time in three at Vacuum Wars, and there is no live camera view
- TechRadar's test unit had a hardware failure and Reviewed's had trouble returning to its dock
Why it made the list. How to choose a robot vacuum and mop combo
All four docks empty the bin, wash and dry the mop and refill water. What separates the picks is measured cleaning, wash temperature, height, clutter handling and how often the dock needs you.
| Model | Carpet deep clean (Vacuum Wars) | Dried-stain mop score (Vacuum Wars) | Obstacles avoided (of 24) | Mop wash / dry | Bag | Height | Threshold rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro | Not yet published | Not yet published | Not yet published | 212°F / 131°F | Up to 65 days | 3.14 in, fits 3.13 in gaps | 1.77 in single, 3.46 in two-step |
| eufy Omni C28 | 89% | 119 | 15 | No heated wash / 95-122°F | 3 L, up to 75 days | 4.4 in | Not rated; no lifting chassis |
| Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete | 89% | 136 | 22 | 212°F / hot air | 3.2 L, up to 100 days | 3.13 in, LiDAR retracted | 45 mm single, 88 mm two-step |
| eufy Omni S2 | 87% | 82 | 24 | 140°F / 131°F | Up to 68 days | 3.78 in | 35 mm single, 42 mm two-step |
01Measured pickup beats the suction number
Rated suction runs from 15,000 Pa on the C28 to 36,000 Pa on the Roborock, and the measurements ignore that order. Vacuum Wars pulled 89 percent of embedded sand from carpet with both the C28 and the Dreame and 87 percent with the S2, against a 78 percent average. The C28 and Dreame picked up 100 percent of flattened pet hair, the S2 88.5 percent, and all three wrapped 0 percent of the test hair. The Roborock has no lab numbers yet (Vacuum Wars had published only a launch report by late September 2026), though House Digest found it cleared cat litter and hair from short-pile rugs.
02Pads or roller, and what the stain scores mean
The Roborock and Dreame mop with two spinning pads. Both eufys use a roller that is fed clean water while a scraper strips the dirty water into a tank, so the mop does not carry one room's dirt into the next. On dried stains Vacuum Wars scored the Dreame 136, the C28 119 and the S2 only 82, with the S2 putting down 0.35 g of water against a 1.07 g average. Vacuum Wars' quoted averages drift between 93 and 108 as its sample grows, so compare the robots to each other. Mop lift over carpet is 28 mm on the S2 and 21.5 mm on the Dreame; the Roborock can leave its pads at the dock for carpet up to 1.81 in thick, and eufy publishes no lift figure for the C28.
03The dock decides how often you touch it
Hot water separates the tiers. The Roborock and Dreame wash their pads at 212°F and both dose detergent; the S2 washes at 140°F with electrolyzed water, doses detergent and rewashes if its dirt sensor sees a murky rinse; the C28 lists hot-air drying but no heated wash and no detergent dispenser. Drying air is 131°F on the Roborock and S2 and 95 to 122°F on the C28; Dreame states hot air without a figure. Bag life favors the Dreame: 3.2 L rated for 100 days, against 75 days for the C28's 3 L bag, 68 days for the S2 and 65 for the Roborock. The Dreame's second detergent tank for a pet-odor formula is unique here. Water is the counterweight: Android Authority refilled the Dreame's clean tank after roughly 600 sq ft, and AndroidGuys found the C28's 2.2 L tank needed attention every few days. All four docks are large: the S2's station is 26.38 in tall and the Roborock's 19.45 in deep, so plan a wall spot with clear floor in front.
04Height and thresholds are floor-plan questions
The Roborock and Dreame retract their LiDAR turrets and fit 3.13 in gaps. The S2 is 3.78 in and the C28 4.4 in; measure your lowest furniture first. Thresholds follow the same order: the Roborock is rated for 1.77 in single and 3.46 in two-step, the Dreame for 45 mm and 88 mm, and Vacuum Wars cleared a 51 mm step with the Dreame. The S2 is rated for 35 mm but cleared Vacuum Wars' 32 mm test step once in three tries, though TechRadar and Reviewed both found it climbed thresholds well at home. The C28 has no lifting chassis and no published rating; AndroidGuys saw it manage 21 mm strips. Raised transitions between rooms narrow the choice to the Roborock and the Dreame.
05Obstacle avoidance is the number for cluttered floors
Vacuum Wars' course puts 24 objects in the robot's path. The S2 avoided all 24, the Dreame 22 and the C28 15, roughly the site's average. The Roborock has no score yet, and House Digest found it has trouble seeing low-lying objects such as toys, so we would not run it on a cluttered floor. Vacuum Chef's separate course put the S2 at 71 percent.
06Consumables and coverage
Every pick uses bags and a filter; the Roborock and Dreame also use pads and detergent, the S2 a roller and detergent, the C28 a roller. The Dreame's 100-day bag is the longest interval here; the C28's smaller tank needs the most attention. On coverage, Vacuum Wars lists 256 minutes for the Roborock and estimated about 1,088 sq ft per charge for the S2, about 950 sq ft for the Dreame and about 1,190 sq ft for the C28; Basic Tutorials found the C28's 216-minute rating falls to about 123 minutes with mopping on.
What we left out and why
Models we considered, and why each one did not make the list.
MOVA V70 Ultra Complete and Mobius 60
The V70 tops Vacuum Wars' Top 20 as of September 24, 2026 and the Mobius 60 sits fifth; both wash at 212°F and climb 45 mm thresholds. MOVA has only just brought the V70 to the US, so there is no support record to judge, and its dock uses a washable dust container rather than a bag.
Narwal Freo 20
Second on the same list, with a roller mop, a 212°F dock clean and a 2.4 L bag rated for 120 days. It was announced on August 20, 2026, its 40 mm threshold rating is below the Roborock and Dreame, and there is no long-term owner record yet.
Every Ecovacs Deebot, and the Yeedi S20 Infinity
Four Ecovacs robots sit in the Top 20 and we list none. In August 2024 TechCrunch reported a Bluetooth flaw, demonstrated by security researchers, that let an attacker take control of Ecovacs robots from about 450 feet and reach the camera and microphone; the company at first said it would not address it. Yeedi is an Ecovacs group brand and falls under the same policy.
Roborock Saros 20, Saros 20 Sonic and Qrevo Edge 2
The Saros 20 pair share the Edge 3 Pro's height, threshold rating and boiling-water wash but rank nine and ten places below it. The Edge 2 has a similar dock, but Vacuum Wars' Roborock guide lists its threshold climbing at 20 mm.
Roborock Saros Z70
The robot with the mechanical arm scored 22 of 24 on obstacles at Vacuum Wars, but it is rated at 22,000 Pa, climbs 30 mm single steps and has dropped out of the current Top 20.
Dreame L60 Ultra PE, L60 Pro Ultra, L50 Ultra and Matrix10 Ultra
All rank below the X60 Max Ultra Complete on the same list, so we took the top Dreame.
Narwal Flow 2
Good results (84 percent carpet, 38 mm threshold), but it sits in the premium class while ranking one place above our budget pick.
iRobot Roomba
iRobot filed for Chapter 11 on December 14, 2025 and was sold to its contract manufacturer Picea. Apps and support continue, but no Roomba is in Vacuum Wars' Top 20, and the last one the site reviewed, the Plus 405 Combo on September 18, 2026, scored 58 percent on carpet against a 75 average and 50 percent on pet hair.
Unbranded robots
Labels with no US parts supply or support history were excluded, in line with our site policy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need hot-water mop washing?
If you mop kitchen floors or have pets, yes. Boiling-point washing on the Roborock and Dreame keeps their pads fresh; the C28's unheated wash needs more manual rinsing. For light mopping on tidy floors, the S2's 140°F wash is fine.
Pads or a roller?
Neither wins outright. The Dreame's pads posted the best dried-stain score, the C28's roller was close behind and the S2's roller was the weakest. A roller is rinsed as it goes, so it never finishes a room with a dirty pad.
Which one for a shedding dog?
The Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete: 100 percent pet hair pickup, zero hair wrap, a 100-day bag and a pet-odor detergent tank. The C28 matched the pet-hair and wrap results in the mid-range class.
Which one fits under low furniture?
The Roborock and Dreame, which fit 3.13 in gaps with the LiDAR retracted. The S2 is 3.78 in and the C28 4.4 in.
Should I wait for a sale?
All four brands discount around Prime Big Deal Days (October 6-7, 2026) and Black Friday (November 27, 2026); if either is a few weeks away, waiting is reasonable. For a self-emptying robot without a mop-washing dock, see our budget self-emptying robot vacuums.
How we chose
We compared flagship and upper-mid robot vacuum and mop combos whose docks empty the bin, wash and dry the mop and refill the water, using Vacuum Wars' measured carpet, dried-stain and obstacle-course results alongside dock features, robot height, threshold climbing and consumables. The short answer: the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro is the most balanced robot for a typical mixed-floor house, the eufy Omni C28 delivers most of the cleaning in a lower price class, the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete is the premium pick for pet owners, and the eufy Omni S2 is the one to run in a cluttered home.
We started with every combo on Vacuum Wars' Top 20 as of September 24, 2026 whose dock handles emptying, mop washing, drying and water refill, then ranked them on that site's lab measurements (embedded sand on carpet, flattened pet hair, hair wrap, dried-stain mopping, obstacle course) and on manufacturer figures for wash temperature, drying, bag life, height and threshold climbing. We have not used these robots; every claim is attributed to a named test, a named reviewer or a spec sheet. Ecovacs and its Yeedi sub-brand were excluded on security grounds, iRobot because of its bankruptcy and test record, and two very new arrivals were held back until owner reports exist.
