eufy Omni S2

The pick for cluttered homes. It dodged every object in Vacuum Wars' course and cleans carpet well, but dried-stain mopping and threshold climbing trail the Roborock and Dreame.

Ad disclosure: we earn a commission on Amazon links, at no cost to you. It never decides our picks. How this works

  • Pick it ifFamily homes with toys, cables and pet bowls on the floor, hard floors with low-pile rugs, and owners who want a roller mop that stays wet with clean water

  • Skip it ifHomes with raised thresholds between rooms, heavy dried-on kitchen mess, or anyone who wants a live camera view from the robot

At a glance

What stands out

  • Perfect 24 of 24 in Vacuum Wars' obstacle course, the only such result among the robots in this comparison (Aug 28, 2026 review)
  • 87 percent carpet deep clean and 0 percent hair wrap in the same lab, a large jump from the 61 percent of the earlier S1 generation
  • 12-in-1 UniClean station: 140°F heated wash with electrolyzed water, 131°F hot-air drying, auto detergent, and bags rated for 68 days

Flaws to know

  • Dried-stain mopping scored 82 against Vacuum Wars' 108 average, with water output of 0.35 g against a 1.07 g average
  • Cleared its 32 mm test threshold only one time in three at Vacuum Wars, and there is no live camera view
  • TechRadar's test unit had a hardware failure and Reviewed's had trouble returning to its dock

Who it's for

The Omni S2 is the robot for homes where the floor is never quite clear. In Vacuum Wars' obstacle course, which puts 24 objects in the robot's path, the S2 avoided all 24. No other robot on our best robot vacuum and mop combos list managed that: the Dreame scored 22, the budget eufy 15, and the Roborock has no published score yet. TechRadar saw the same at home: shoes, socks and cables, no contact. If you have kids, cords under a desk or a dog that has accidents, that record is the reason to buy it.

It is also a good vacuum. Vacuum Wars measured 87 percent on carpet deep cleaning, a big step up from the 61 percent of the earlier S1 generation, along with 88.5 percent of flattened pet hair picked up and zero hair wrap on the DuoSpiral brush. It suits family homes with hard floors, low-pile rugs and few raised thresholds.

What stands out

Avoidance hardware. The S2 pairs 3D time-of-flight sensing with an RGB camera and LED lighting in what eufy calls 3D MatrixEye 2.0, and Vacuum Wars' first look reports it recognizes more than 200 object types down to 1 cm tall, with specific logic for rug tassels and thin mats. Vacuum Chef's separate course put it at 71 percent, though that test still found it handled pet waste and cords reliably.

The roller mop. The S2 uses a roller rather than a pair of pads. It spins at 240 RPM with 15 N of pressure, is fed clean water through 32 holes while dirty water is scraped off, extends sideways toward baseboards and lifts 28 mm (1.1 in) over carpet, the highest lift in this group. Because the mop is rinsed as it goes, it never finishes a room with a dirty pad. TechRadar found it lifted dried ketchup without trouble.

The station. The 12-in-1 UniClean dock empties the bin into a bag eufy rates for 68 days, washes the roller in 140°F water that has been electrolyzed to sanitize it, dries it with 131°F air, doses detergent, and reruns the wash if its dirt sensor sees a murky rinse. TechRadar lists a 3 L clean tank, a 2 L dirty tank and 2.5 L bags. Matter support is built in, and there is a fragrance dispenser. At 26.38 in the station is also the tallest here.

Suction is rated at 30,000 Pa from the AeroTurbo 2.0 motor. The DuoSpiral split brush is rated for hair up to 20 in without tangling, and the side brush extends into corners. eufy rates the battery for 179 minutes vacuuming or 150 minutes vacuuming and mopping.

Where it falls short

Dried stains. This is the S2's clear weakness. Vacuum Wars scored it 82 on dried stains against an average of 108, and measured water output of 0.35 g against a 1.07 g average, so the roller does not put down enough water to soften old spills. Reviewed had the same complaint with syrup left for hours on tile. The Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete scored 136 and the eufy Omni C28 119. For daily maintenance mopping the S2 is fine; for a kitchen with dried sauce, it is not the one.

Thresholds. eufy rates it for 35 mm single and 42 mm two-step thresholds, but Vacuum Wars saw it clear a 32 mm test step only once in three tries. TechRadar and Reviewed both found it climbed thresholds well at home, so results seem to depend on the edge profile. The Roborock and Dreame are rated for 45 mm, and the Dreame cleared 51 mm in the same lab.

Speed and coverage. Navigation efficiency of 0.64 sq m per minute is slower than the S1 generation and below the 0.71 average, with about 1,088 sq ft per charge. Vacuum Chef measured roughly 4.8 hours for a full recharge, so a large home will lose time waiting.

Reliability and smaller points. TechRadar's test unit suffered a hardware failure and was replaced, and Reviewed's had trouble returning to its dock and misfired on zone cleaning. There is no live camera feed, Vacuum Chef found gaps along walls when mopping, and the 3.78 in body is 0.65 in taller than the Roborock and Dreame.

How it compares

Against the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro: the Roborock is rated for 45 mm thresholds, washes its pads at 212°F rather than 140°F and runs up to 256 minutes; the S2 has the better obstacle record and a mop that stays clean throughout the run. Choose by floor plan: thresholds and low furniture point to Roborock, clutter points to eufy.

Against the eufy Omni C28: the S2 adds 30,000 Pa suction, heated washing, detergent dosing, a lifting chassis, Matter and the perfect obstacle result. The C28 mops dried stains better and sits in a lower price class, but it is 4.4 in tall and avoided only 15 objects.

Verdict

Buy the Omni S2 if your floors are cluttered and you want a robot that will not eat a phone cable or spread a pet accident, with strong carpet cleaning and a low-maintenance station. Skip it if you have raised thresholds or rely on the robot to lift dried stains, where the Dreame and Roborock are better. It is the safest robot in this group to run unsupervised, which for many families is the whole point.
