eufy Omni C28
The value pick for tidy mixed-floor homes with taller furniture. It vacuums and mops nearly as well as the flagships, but it is 4.4 in tall, has no detergent dispenser and is weak at dodging small objects.

Who it's for
The Omni C28 is the robot for people who want the automation of a flagship dock without the flagship budget, and who will give up three things to get it: a low profile, top-tier obstacle avoidance and hot-water washing. Vacuum Wars reviewed it on August 28, 2026, and it sits nineteenth on the site's Top 20 as of September 24, the least expensive robot on that list apart from one Ecovacs model that our site policy excludes. The lab numbers explain its place there. The C28 scored 89 percent on carpet deep cleaning against a category average of 78, picked up 100 percent of flattened pet hair and wrapped 0 percent of the 7 in test hair around its brush. Those three results equal what the far more expensive Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete managed in the same lab.
It fits homes with mostly hard floors and low-pile rugs, furniture with more than 4.5 in of clearance, and floors that are usually free of cables and small objects. It is the budget pick on our best robot vacuum and mop combos list.
What stands out
The roller mop. eufy's HydroJet system uses a spinning roller rather than two pads. Expert Reviews lists it at 270 rpm with about 1 kg of pressure, and clean water is sprayed onto the roller continuously while a scraper strips dirty water into a separate tank, so the mop is not dragging the last room's dirt into the next one. Vacuum Wars gave it 119 points for dried-stain removal against a 108 average and a combined mopping score that landed in the site's all-time top ten. Basic Tutorials found the roller cleaned more evenly than pad systems, though a salad-dressing spill took repeat passes.
The station. For a mid-priced robot the five-in-one Omni station is unusually complete: it empties the bin into a 3 L bag that eufy rates for up to 75 days, washes the roller, dries it with air between 95 and 122°F, refills the 2.2 L clean tank and drains the dirty one. AndroidGuys reported the bag lasting well over a month on a main floor of about 1,500 sq ft, with the water tanks needing attention every few days.
Vacuuming. 15,000 Pa is the lowest rated suction in this comparison, yet the C28's 89 percent deep-clean score ties for best. Suction ratings are measured at the motor; brush design and carpet detection do more of the work. The DuoSpiral split brush produced zero tangles in Vacuum Wars' test, and Tom's Guide measured 92 percent pet-hair pickup on carpet. Navigation efficiency was 0.91 sq m per minute at Vacuum Wars, well above the 0.7 average, so it finishes rooms quickly.
Where it falls short
Obstacles. The C28 avoided 15 of 24 objects in Vacuum Wars' course, roughly the site's average but far behind the eufy Omni S2 at 24 and the Dreame at 22. Basic Tutorials watched it swallow a hair tie and miss loose cables; AndroidGuys needed no-go zones for coiled cords on dark floors. Clear the floor before it runs.
Height. At 4.4 in (112 mm) it is the tallest robot here by more than an inch. The Roborock and Dreame retract their LiDAR turrets to 3.13 in; the C28 cannot. Measure your lowest furniture before buying.
Dock hygiene. eufy's station list includes hot-air drying but no heated wash, and Tom's Guide counts the missing detergent dispenser as a con. The roller is rinsed in unheated water, so it needs more manual attention than the pads on the Roborock and Dreame.
Battery and thresholds. Vacuum Wars measured 1.21 sq m per 1 percent of battery, below the 1.56 average, and the rated 216 minutes applies only to vacuuming; Basic Tutorials lists about 123 minutes with mopping on. There is no lifting chassis and eufy publishes no threshold figure; AndroidGuys' reviewer saw it manage 21 mm (0.8 in) transitions. Both reviewers found the dock's emptying cycle loud, and Basic Tutorials found no HomeKit or Matter option in the app.
How it compares
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro buys you a 3.14 in body, 1.77 in threshold climbing, 212°F pad washing with 131°F drying and detergent dosing. The C28 washes with unheated water. If you have thresholds or low furniture, the Roborock is worth the step up; if you do not, the C28's cleaning scores make it the better value.
Against its sibling, the eufy Omni S2, the C28 gives up 30,000 Pa suction, a 140°F wash, a chassis that lifts for thresholds, Matter support and a perfect obstacle record. In return it posted a higher dried-stain score (119 versus 82) and a higher carpet result (89 versus 87 percent) in the same lab, which says a lot about how little a suction rating predicts.
Verdict
Buy the Omni C28 if your furniture sits high, your floors are tidy and you want a genuine wash-and-dry dock with a roller mop at a mid-range budget. Skip it if you need to clean under low sofas, have cables or toys on the floor, or want hot-water washing and automatic detergent. For a first robot mop in a hard-floor home, its lab results are hard to argue with.
