Dreame Aero Pro

Dreame · Wet dry vacuum

Dreame Aero Pro

The Aero Pro is the floor washer for homes with long hair and shedding pets: its roller cuts hair instead of collecting it, it leaves floors nearly dry and it has the biggest tank on our list. Buyers who care most about lifting set-in stains should pick a Tineco.

Who it's for

The Aero Pro is for a home where hair is the enemy: a shedding dog, a cat, or several people with long hair. On most floor washers that hair winds around the wet roller and has to be cut free by hand. Dreame's answer is TangleCut 2.0, which lifts hair off the roller and cuts it so it travels to the dirty tank instead.

It is the pet-hair pick on our list of the best wet-dry vacuum mops. Dreame introduced it as its 2026 model; it sits sixth in Vacuum Wars' table of 46 lab-tested hard-floor cleaners and earned an Editor's Choice award from Tom's Guide. It suits sealed hardwood, laminate, vinyl and tile, in homes big enough to use the long battery.

What stands out

The hair system works as described in the two independent reviews. Vacuum Wars calls the cutter a standout for pet homes because it actively cuts hair rather than combing it off. Tom's Guide used it for several weeks in a house with a dog and long-haired family members and found no strands wrapped around the roller afterward.

Water control is the other strength. On Vacuum Wars' water test, which weighs a paper towel pressed onto the floor behind the machine, it left 0.43 g against a 1.0 g average, less than half the typical amount. Floors dry faster, and Tom's Guide noted little waiting before the floor was dry. That efficiency lifted its combined mopping score to about 135, well above the lab's 115 average.

Capacity is the largest on our list. Dreame rates the clean tank at 1,000 mL and the battery at up to 60 minutes in its lightest mode, with 40 minutes in Smart mode (which adjusts suction and water to the dirt it senses), 40 in Quiet and 35 in Turbo. Tom's Guide found real run time within the advertised range and a full recharge in about four hours.

The dock does the hygiene work. After a session it runs 194°F water through the roller and tubes, then dries the roller with 203°F air in about five minutes, the hottest drying air on our list by the brands' figures. Tom's Guide reported no musty smell. The body lies flat to 3.88 inches, lower than any other pick, and the brush reaches both edges of the head.

Where it falls short

Stain removal is below average. On Vacuum Wars' timed dried-coffee test it scored 112 against a 139 average, the lowest of our four picks. Its low water use means it does not rely on soaking a stain loose, so for set-in spills plan on a second pass, or choose the Tineco Floor One S9 Artist Steam, which scored 151.

Some conveniences are missing. There is no self-propelled drive, no LED lights on the floorhead, no Wi-Fi and no voice assistant, per Vacuum Wars; it does have an LED status display and voice prompts, which Tom's Guide found hard to hear over the motor. Tom's Guide would trade those prompts for headlights.

The dirty tank holds only 600 mL, smaller than the clean tank, and Tom's Guide wished both were larger. It also saw light streaking on dark tile. Vacuum Wars measured usable suction at the floorhead at 0.71 kPa, below its average, though the lab found this did not hold back its mopping score. At 4,794 g it lands right on the category average.

How it compares

Against the Tineco Floor One Stretch S6, our top pick, the Aero Pro offers a larger tank, longer rated run time, hotter drying and the hair cutter; the S6 ranks higher in Vacuum Wars' table and has power-assisted wheels.

Against the Tineco Floor One i5 Stretch, which Tom's Guide named as its closest rival, the Aero Pro adds heated drying, dirt sensing and twice the rated run time, while the i5 scored higher on stains, weighs less and sits in a lower price class.

Verdict

The Aero Pro solves the problem pet owners complain about most with floor washers, a roller wrapped in hair, and backs it with excellent water control, the biggest tank and the fastest drying on our list. Its weak spot is stubborn stains. If hair is your daily battle, it is the one to buy; if dried spills are, look at the Tineco S9.
