Tineco · Wet dry vacuum
Tineco Floor One i5 Stretch
The i5 Stretch is the budget wet-dry vacuum to buy: it matched the lab average on stains, left half the usual water behind and lies flat, at 9.3 lb. You give up heated drying, a dirt sensor and run time beyond 30 minutes.

Who it's for
The Floor One i5 Stretch is for someone who wants to stop dragging out a mop and bucket, has a modest amount of sealed hard floor, and would rather not pay for automation they will not miss. It vacuums crumbs and washes the floor in the same pass, using a roller that is constantly fed clean water while a scraper sends the dirty water to a separate tank.
It is the budget pick on our list of the best wet-dry vacuum mops because it sits at the budget end of Vacuum Wars' current top 10 and is the lab's own Best Budget choice, and because its cleaning numbers do not look like a budget machine's. It suits apartments, condos, kitchens and bathrooms, and pet homes where hair on the roller is a recurring chore.
What stands out
Start with the lab data. Vacuum Wars cleans dried, cold-pressed coffee stains in a fixed number of timed passes and awards more points the sooner each stain disappears. The i5 Stretch scored 140 against a running average of 139, right with the field. Then the lab weighs a paper towel pressed onto the floor behind the machine to see how much water was left. The i5 left 0.5 g, half the 1.0 g average. Leaving less water matters as much as lifting the stain: it means shorter drying time and fewer streaks, and it is how Vacuum Wars separates machines that clean from machines that flood.
Usable suction, measured at the floorhead on the highest setting, came in at 1.11 kPa, close to the lab's average. The 20 kPa on Tineco's spec sheet describes the motor, not what reaches the floor, and the lab's point is that suction numbers mean little in this category as long as dirty water gets picked up.
The body reclines to 180 degrees. Tineco redesigned the dirty-water separation so the machine can lie flat without sending water toward the motor, which lets it reach under beds, low sofas and kitchen cabinets. The brush reaches the housing edge on both sides of the head, so either side can run along a baseboard. At 4,220 g (9.3 lb) it is well under the lab's average, and Vacuum Wars found it easy to steer with wrist movements even without motor assistance.
A scraper built into the head clears hair off the roller as it turns, which Vacuum Wars credits with keeping pet fur and long hair from wrapping. There is an LED display for battery and status and a Wi-Fi app.
Where it falls short
The cuts are in convenience, not cleaning. There is no hot-air drying on the dock. The i5 rinses its roller and tubes when you start the self-clean cycle, but the roller stays damp, so Vacuum Wars recommends taking it out to air-dry to avoid odors. On a model that skips this step, the habit decides whether the machine stays fresh.
Run time is rated at up to 30 minutes, below the roughly 37-minute average in the lab's table, and the 0.8 L clean tank is a little under the 1 L average. That is fine for an apartment or a kitchen and living area; a large house will need a recharge or a refill.
There is also no iLoop dirt sensor to raise power on its own, no self-propelled drive, no floorhead lights and no steam. Like every floor washer on our list, it should not be used to deep-clean rugs; it can roll over a low rug, but it still puts water down.
How it compares
The Tineco Floor One Stretch S6, our top pick, ranks seven places higher in Vacuum Wars' table and adds heated FlashDry drying, the iLoop sensor, power-assisted wheels and up to 40 minutes of run time. If you know you will not remove and dry the roller by hand, the S6 is worth the step up.
The Dreame Aero Pro scored lower on stains in the same test (112) but left slightly less water, and it adds a 1 L tank, up to 60 minutes of run time, hot-water washing and hot-air drying, and a roller that cuts hair. Tom's Guide named the i5 Stretch as the Aero Pro's closest rival.

Verdict
The i5 Stretch proves a floor washer does not need every feature to clean well. It held its own on stains, left less water than most, reaches under furniture and is light enough to carry anywhere. Accept the 30-minute battery and the habit of drying the roller yourself, and it is the best value in the category. If either of those is a deal-breaker, move up to the Stretch S6.
