Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi

The corded robot to start with for a typical in-ground pool: it scrubs the floor and walls on a weekly timer and never needs charging. It skips the waterline, steps and surface, and Maytronics now lists only a one-year warranty.

Who it's for

The Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi is the corded robot for owners who want the pool cleaned on a schedule without thinking about batteries. It is built for in-ground pools, and Maytronics now rates it for pools up to 40 feet long in rectangular, round, kidney and freeform shapes. Plug the power supply in near the pool, set the weekly timer in the MyDolphin Plus app, and the robot runs its two-hour cycle on the days you choose.

It is the best overall pick in both Reviewed's and Bob Vila's 2026 robotic pool cleaner guides, and it is the model to start with if your pool is a typical backyard size and you care more about hands-off reliability than about skimming the surface or scrubbing a tanning ledge.

What stands out

No charging routine. Because it runs on a cable, it can stay in the pool and clean every few days on a timer. The cordless robots in our list have to be lifted out and recharged for about 4.5 hours between runs. Bob Vila's testers credited the Nautilus with strong suction, good handling of large debris, and a route around the pool that rarely left it stuck. Reviewed found that after a few weeks of scheduled runs, its test pool no longer needed any manual cleaning.

Walls included. Maytronics lists a floor-and-wall cycle with two brushes and a rated 4,500 gallons per hour of suction. That is below what the cordless flagships claim, but a corded robot does not lose power as a battery drains, so the last half hour of the cycle gets the same suction as the first.

A fine, top-loading filter. The Ultra-Fine cartridge catches particles down to 70 microns, the finest included filter among our picks; both Beatbot robots ship with 150-micron mesh. It lifts out of the top, so you do not have to flip a wet, heavy machine to rinse it.

Cable management. Bob Vila and Reviewed both list a 60-foot floating cable, and the anti-tangle swivel keeps it from twisting into knots over repeated cycles. Tangling is a common complaint with corded robots that lack one, including the cheaper Dolphin Nautilus CC.

Where it falls short

The spec sheet has shrunk. Maytronics' current US spec page lists a 40-foot maximum pool length and a one-year warranty, while many retailer listings and older reviews still say 50 feet. The Pool Nerd, which tested the current version in July 2026, reports that the warranty dropped from 2.5 years to one and now gives it a disapproved verdict, citing that change and its basic mesh cartridges. Check the warranty terms on the listing you buy.

No waterline scrubbing. The robot climbs walls, but Maytronics marks waterline scrubbing as absent, and The Pool Nerd notes that it reaches the waterline without scrubbing along it. A ring of sunscreen and pollen at the tile line will still need a brush now and then. The Beatbot Sora 70 and Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra both work along the waterline.

Steps are off limits. Reviewed found it cannot clean pool steps and sometimes got stuck trying to climb them, and Bob Vila also flags steps as a spot where it may need help.

The power supply needs shelter. Bob Vila notes it is water resistant rather than waterproof, so it needs a dry spot near an outlet, and Reviewed points out there are no settings on the unit itself. Scheduling depends on the app, which means your Wi-Fi has to reach the pool.

No surface skimming. Floating leaves and pollen stay on top until they sink or the pool skimmer catches them.

How it compares

The Dolphin Nautilus CC uses the same basic corded design with fewer conveniences: no timer, no app, no swivel, a 33-foot rating and only rectangular and round shapes listed. It makes sense only if you are happy to drop it in and start it by hand before a weekend.

The Beatbot Sora 70 is the cordless alternative. It adds waterline scrubbing, surface skimming, shallow-ledge cleaning and a three-year warranty, but it has to come out of the pool to charge and sits in a higher price class. For all four picks side by side, see the best robot pool cleaners.

Verdict

Buy the Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi if you have an in-ground pool up to about 40 feet and want a robot that runs on a weekly timer without charging or retrieval. Skip it if the waterline ring, the steps or a tanning ledge are what bother you most, or if a one-year warranty is a deal breaker; a cordless Beatbot or a higher Dolphin tier covers those gaps at a higher price class.
